Kwenda kwenye kilio/msiba haina maana ya kuchangisha pesa tu.

Wengine hatukutoa pesa, lakini tumepika, tumetoa vinywaji na tumehudhuria tu kumpa pole baba mzazi na kadhalika. 

Vitu kama hivi huwezi kuviweka kwenye thamani ya pesa taslimu!!!


Inaonyesha hakukuwa na mawasiliano mazuri baina ya mama na baba mzazi kwenye ulezi wa marehemu kitu ambacho kiliwaweka katika hali ya kutoelewana! Hili suala ni la mama na baba, sisi wengine hatupaswi kabisa kuliingilia. Huu ni wakati wa kuomboleza!!!

Ni matumaini yangu kuwa kifo cha Evans kisilete utengano wa utaifa kwa watu wa Afrika Mashariki. Kwani inaonyesha kila mtu anavutia kwake kwenye msiba huu. Tunayoyasikia yanasikitisha. Baada ya kukaa na kuomboleza, watu wanaanza kutupiana maneno!

Mwili wa marehemu utachukuliwa toka hospitali ya Ullevaal saa 3 asubuhi (09:00 CET) na utazikwa kwenye makaburi Grefsen (Grefsen kirkegård), yaliyopo Gladsvei 49  saa 4 asubuhi (10:00 CET)

The burial is scheduled for Tuesday 1st. March with a departure from Ullevål Hospital at 09:00 CET. According to the presented plan, the remains of Evans will be laid to rest in a Christian ceremony at Grefsen  (Grefsen kirkegård - Glads Vei 49) at 10:00 CET.

A meeting hosted by the official Evans' funeral committee was treated to a surprise when information of another paralell meeting reached the attendees. It came to the knowledge of the attendees that the father of Evans had organised another fundraising meeting on Saturday, 26th. February where several Kenyans, Tanzanians, Ethiopians and friends had been invited, attended and contributed cash.

The father had prepared the meeting that was hosted at LovisenbergDiakonale Hospital starting at 16:00 CET. Several people at that meeting wondered why Evans' mother was not at the meeting where the funds were to be raised for her deceased son. The common message that was dished out was that the mother was late due to the weather conditions then later the facts started pouring in with the father (Abdul) stating that the deceased's mother and her friends had actually planned another meeting for Sunday the 27th.

KiN has been updated on the facts and can report that the meeting held at Willy's Bar this evening attracted several people and a mix of Kenyans and friends from all walks. The attendees who had been to the earlier meeting organised by the father of Evans (Abdul) were requested by the committee to ask him of the whereabouts of the money they had contributed. It was further stated that there was only one official committee comprising of among others Njeri, Naomi and two others whose identities had not been availed to KiN at the time of going to press.

Funeral arrangements:
Evans' funeral committee presented the plans already made by the hospital, priest and the mortuary where the remains of Evans are. There will be a funeral service for Evans on Monday, 28th. February starting at exactly 11:00 CET at Oslo Ullevål Hospital's Children's Center (Barnesenteret).

The burial is scheduled for Tuesday 1st. March with a departure from Ullevål Hospital at 9:00 CET. According to the presented plan, the remains of Evans will be laid to rest in a Christian ceremony at Grefsen  (Grefsen kirkegård - Glads Vei 49) at 10:00 CET the same day. After the burial, Kenyans, friends and all the mourners are requested to join the family at a reception in town. The venue is Peppes Pizza at the start of Karl Johans Street opposite Trafikkanten. The cover charge for the reception is NOK 100 to be paid on arrival at Peppes Pizza.

Evans' mother, Martha from Kenya, sends her gratitude to all of you who are supporting her at this difficult time of sorrow.

Michelles Support to Bomb Victims in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania!

The winner of Miss Africa Crown Scandinavia, Ms. Michelle Jeng, paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador of Tanzania, H.E Muhhamed Mwinyi Mzale on the 23rd February 2011. His Excellency Ambassador Mzale welcomed Michelle and congratulated her for winning the Miss Africa Crown Contest. He said that she is the public face of Tanzania in Scandinavia and hoped that she will carry the title with pride for Tanzania.

The purpose of her visit was to pay her tribute to the recent bomb blast in Gongo la Mboto, Dar es Salaam. Ms. Michelle Jeng, informed the Ambassador that she has opened a special account and deposited her contribution in order to help those who have been affected by this accident in Tanzania.

She informed the Ambassador that she has contacted her fellow Tanzanians living in Sweden and friends of Tanzania to come forward, and support her to make a meaningful contribution that can help displaced children in Gongo la Mboto, Dar es Salam after the bomb blasts. Ms. Michelle said,

“What happened in Tanzania after the Bomb accident is a problem for all Tanzanians. You can always make a difference. Even if a small effort doesn’t seem much to you it could mean the world to someone!”

Once again, Ambassador Mzale appreciated her initiative and promised to offer her all the support she needs.

Ms. Michelle Jeng in cooperation with Miss Africa Crown Scandinavia organizers, African Monetary Fund/ Ritz Society, requests that cash contributions can be deposited in SEB Bank Account No: 5368 02 660 73, Michelle Jeng. Contributors are requested to write their names when making this deposit.
