Playboy’s Playmate

Born in Tanzania to

a Swedish father and

a Tanzanian mother

That was a fine careermilestone in and of itself. But now it is being reported that she has won the honor of Hugh Hefner’s magazine’s 2009 Playmate of the Year, making history as the magazine’s 50th Playboy´s Playmate Of The Year (POTY) 2009 and the first African POTY.

Ljungqvist was born in Tanzania to a Swedish father and a Tanzanian mother. She was discovered by 2007 POTY Sara Jean Underwood at a clothing boutique.

Ida succeeds Jayde Nicole, a.k.a. Brody Jenner’s girlfriend, as Playmate of the Year. But the achievement does not come without scandal for Ljungqvist.
