Kikwete appoints
Zahra Nuru Mwanasharif
diplomatic aide
President Jakaya Kikwete has appointed Zahra Nuru Mwanasharif to be his aide on diplomatic issues.
A statement released in Dar es Salaam yesterday by State House Secretary Michael Mwanda on behalf of the Chief Secretary said that her appointment became effective from July 13, 2009.
It said Mwanasharif had been appointed to replace Andrew Daraja, who completed his term as a civil servant.
Before the appointment Mwanasharif was employed by the United Nations as a consultant and senior adviser to the Under Secretary-General and UN Special Adviser on Africa.
