Talks with Libyan insurgents in Norway

Representatives for the Libyan insurgents have visited Norway this week for political talks in Oslo with Norwegian authorities. This is confirmed by state secretary Espen Barth Eide (photo).
Barth Eide says to public broadcaster NRK that the Libyan representatives have been had meetings at the Department of Foreign Affairs.
- This is our first political contact with them. The aim was to found them out about their perspective on the situation in Libya, the state secretary says.
The representatives for the anti-Ghadaffi Interim National Council claim they represent the whole Libyan nation.
- It is obvious that they do not represent everybody. We must also talk with other groups, Barth Eide says.
