Escalating shortage of

labour in Norway

Norwegian firms are in need of nearly 100,000 employees. Four out of ten firms have problems recruiting staff. One out of five are short staffed.

This is shown by a survey made by the National Labour Offfice (NAV).

The shortage is greatest among health service workers, engineers and skilled labour in the building and construction industry.

The survey was made among 14,000 firms in the months of February and March.
