Oslo teachers also on strike


The Confederation of Unions for Professionals, Norway (Unio) on Saturday evening turned down the wage offer from the Municipality of Oslo, and 500 Unio-members in the capital are on strike.

These include teachers, pre-school teachers, nurses, researchers, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

They come in addition to 2500 teachers and 500 nurses already on strike in the cities of Bergen and Tromsoe and the municipalities of Baerum and Karmoey.

To start with, the following Oslo schools are on strike from Monday 26tth May:

Godlia primary school, Høyenhall primary and secondary school, Manglerud primary school, Skøyenåsen secondary school, Bogstad primary school, Grindbakken primary school, Midtstuen secondary school, Svendstuen primary school and Lambertseter high school.
