Pentecost weekend
The weekend of Pentecost is extra long in Norway, as we also celebrate Second Day Pentecost on Monday. There were long lineups of cars out of Oslo already early Friday afternoon.
Most were heading for their weekend seaside cottages in Southern Norway (Soerlandet), to enjoy the first long weekend of the season.
And what a glorious weekend it is in Southern Norway. Sun from a cloudledd sky and temperatures up around 25 degrees Celsius in the shade, at least in t he early afternoon.
North of Trondheim the picture is less glorious, with strong winds along the coast and showers. In Finnmark even snow and sleet.
However, even in Southern Norway temperatures will drop by around 10 degrees after Monday, if we are to believe the forecasts.
