Warns against hoarding

flu medicine

After several drug stores have reported increased sales of the drug Tamiflu, the Norwegian Medical Association has cautioned doctors that there is no reason for hoarding the flu medicine.

-I reccommend that doctors and the public calm down and follow the guidelines issued by the public health authorities, says president of the association, Torunn Janbu.

However, she does understand that doctors may feel the need for a small supply for some of their regular patients.

Several large firms, particularly in the offshore industry, have also stocked up on the flu medicine (Tamiflu), NRK reports.
