Norway´s new Government
Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg presented his new Government Tuesday morning. The biggest surprise is that veteran ministers Sigbjoern Johnsen and Grete Faremo have been recalled. Ten of the 20 ministers are women. The new government ministers:
* Jens Stoltenberg (Ap) - Prime Minister
* Sigbjørn Johnsen (Ap) - Finance Minister
* Hanne Bjurstrøm (Ap) - Labour Minister and special adviser. Until 20 December 2009 assisting Minister Erik Solheim in international climate negotiations
* Rigmor Aasrud (Ap) - Renewal and Church Affairs Minister. Until 31 December 2009 she will also be Minister of Labour. Also Minister for Nordic cooperation.
* Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap) - Foreign Minister
* Knut Storberget (Ap) - Justice and Immigration Minister
* Trond Giske (Ap) - Trade and Industry Minister
* Anniken Huitfeldt (Ap) - Culture Minister
* Grete Faremo (Ap) - Defence Minister
* Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen (Ap) - Health Minister
* Karl Eirik Schjøtt-Pedersen (Ap) - Coordinating Minister
* Lisbeth Berg-Hansen (Ap) - Fisheries Minister
* Liv Signe Navarsete (Sp) - Municipal Minister
* Lars Peder Brekk (Sp) - Food and Agriculture Minister
* Magnhild Meltveit Kleppa (Sp) - Communications Minister
* Terje Riis-Johansen (Sp) - Oil and Energy Minister
* Kristin Halvorsen (SV) - Education Minister
* Tora Aasland (SV) - Research and Advanced Studies Minister
* Erik Solheim (SV) - Environmental and International Development Minister
* Audun Lysbakken (SV) - Child, Equality and Inclusion Minister

Ministers leaving the Government:
Minister of Health and Care Services Bjarne Håkon Hanssen, Minister of Trade and Industry Sylvia Brustad, Minister of Government Administration and Reform Heidi Grande Røys and Minister of Education Bård Vegar Solhjell have been honourably discharged from their posts.
Administrative changes of departments will be made effective January 1st.
