More roads closed by avalanches

In the county of Møre og Romsdal 19 roads were closed Tuesday morning due to danger of avalanches. In Sunndal, several schools with a total of 1000 students are closed also Tuesday.

Avalanche experts will on Tuesday make a new survey of the region, after they on Monday issued avalanche warnings for Sunndal at level four (out of a maximum of five).

One of the roads closed is the main road from Eastern Norway through the Romsdal Valley to Åndalsnes.

The tourist spot of Geiranger is still isolated after the roads to the hamlet were blocked by avalanches.
