Admits to planning terrorist acts


One of the three men arrested by the Norwegian Police Security Service (Politiets sikkerhetstjeneste = PST) in June, charged with having planned terrorist acts, has now confessed, according to public broadcaster NRK.
According to PST Communication Director Trond Hugubakken they had planned a terror attack against the Danish newspaper Jyllandsposten, which first published the Mohammad caricatures.
The three were originally charged with planning terrorist acts in Norway.
According to VG, the man who has confessed is Shawan Sadek Saeed Bujak (37), a man of Kurdish/Iraqi background, who was first arrested in Germany and brought to Norway.
The other two, David Jakobsen, age 31 from Uzbekistan, and Mikael Davud, age 39 of Uighur background, were Tuesday morning under furter questioning by the PST. They have refuted charges.
