Fear terrorist attacks in Norway
There is fear that the suicide bombing in Stockholm, Sweden this weekend may inspire persons with extreme ideological views to carry out similar attacks also in Norway.(Photo:Brynjar Lia)Terrorism researcher Brynjar Lia at the Norwegian Defence Research Institute (FFI) says the extreme groups in Sweden and Norway are closely connected. He says there is therefore fear that extremists living in Norway may also carry out similar acts.
- We have seen examples where people who have earlier lived in Norway have been convicted of financing terrorism in Sweden, Lia says.
