Drug smuggling on

the increase

The smuggling of illegal drugs to Norway is higher than ever before. During the first half of the year Norwegian Customs have made 1100 individual seizures of narcotics.

So far this year customs have seized more heroin than in the whole of 2007.

Street value of the drugs seized in the first six months is estimated at NOK 250 million.
