New and improved

Norwegian Directorate

of Immigration´s

website

The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) has launched new web pages. The website has got a new design and makes it easier for you to access the information that is important to you as a user.

The main change is that there is less text on the front page. Fewer portals with will make it easier to find the information you are looking for, whoever you are and whatever you are looking for.

There are many people using www.udi.no. In June our website had 125 000 visitors. The most popular sites contain information about work, studies, visas, citizenship and family immigration. These subjects are now easily accessible on the front page.

- We aim to ensure that the information on our web pages is easily accessible for our users, says Director of Communication, Agnar Kaarbø. – We know that udi.no is important to people who amongst other things want to find application forms or information about the Norwegian immigration laws, adds Kaarbø.

Better content

We have worked hard to make the structure under each subject clearer so you quickly can find the relevant information in one place. The information is also written in an improved language to make it more accessible.

- In addition to improving the information about the application process, the new pages will also contain more information about UDI and our activities. With these new web pages we want to present our role in Norway, our challenges and our results, says Kaarbø.

New service

The new web pages now also feature some new services. In the top menu we have located shortcuts to statistics, application forms and other important documents. You can also find information in several languages.

Feedback

We have made our web pages for you as a user. Therefore it is important that you give us feedback on how you think these pages work. Send your thoughts to nettredaksjonen@udi.no.
