Students and schools prepare

against swine flu

As the summer holidays end, Norwegian universities and colleges are now taking precautions against the expected onslaught of swine flu as students and teachers assemble this week to begin a new year of studies.

An estimated 50,000 new students will enter educational establishments across the nation this week, and the Department for Education will on Monday send out yet another letter to the schools with the latest updated recommendations and advice on hygene, compiled by the Department of Health.

The Department for Education say they have worked on the guidelines for flu preparedness since May, and that the universities and schools now ought to be ready for the mass influx of students.
