Oslo-Drammen train line re-opened
The train line between Oslo and Drammen which has been closed for four weeks of extensive maintenance work, was re-opened Monday morning, but as it turned out, not without problems.
An electrical fault between Skøyen and Sandvika, and later on the Spikkestad line, resulted in delays of up to 25 minutes the first couple of hours.
However, by 08:30 most trains were again running on schedule.
Both tracks, switchers and signal systems have been renovated on the most travelled rail line in Norway. More needed maintenance work will be carried out next summer.
