More Rumanian criminals to Norway

Rumanian citizens form the fastest growing group of criminals in Norway, Aftenposten reports. The number of Rumanians entering Norwegian jails increased by 150 over the last two years.
From the year 2000 to 2007, altogether 17 persons from Rumania were jailed in Norway. However, over the next two years, the number increased by 163, according to the newspaper.
Police Director Ingelin Killengreen says she fears that as long as there such a great difference between the rich and the poor in Europe, we will continue to experience that many will come here with the aim to commit crime for gain.
