Nation-wide strike in the
public sector
Around
25,000 employees in the public sector in Norway walked out on strike Thursday
morning, after arbitration on overtime failed in the early hours of the
morning.
On strike are teachers, nursing home staff
and police officers in 14 municipalities around the country.
Arbitration was still ongoing Thursday
morning for the municipality of Oslo, involving 2500 city employees, among them
teachers.
