Sheedi Mela: Afro-Pakistanis hold annual festival - Once a year the Sheedi community -- a brotherhood of Pakistanis of African descent -- gather at the shrine of Mangho Pir in Karachi to hold a sacred festival. While the historic rituals have survived through several centuries, the community leaders are concerned about the high levels of poverty faced by the Sheedi today.
