Norway beat Moldova 1-0 in a cruical Euro 2008 qualifier in Chisinau Saturday evening. Steffen Iversen scored the winning goal for Norway.
Iversen scored just after the break on a header after a pass from Martin Andersen.
In the first half, Norway had to fight hard to keep Moldova at bay, and the home team at times controlled the game.
However, after the break Norway took over more of the initiative, and pushed Moldova back. But Moldova had a near equalizer in the 75th minute, with a shot which hit the bar.
Norway has now climbed to second place in Group C, and meet Greece at home on Wednesday.
