
By the end of August, 855 children had applied for asylum in Norway in 2007. Almost 500 of these children were boys.
44 girls and 147 boys, a total of 191 children, arrived in the country without a parent or adult custodian.
327 girls and 337 boys, a total of 664 children, arrived together with parents or adults custodians.
The total is 855 children.
At the same time 1018 children waited to get a response to their applications for asylum. 207 were cases for unaccompanied minors, while 811 children arrived with parents or adult custodians.
