More teachers on strike

The Confederation of Unions for Professionals, Norway (Unio) called another 4850 members out on strike from Friday morning. If an agreement is not reached by then, Unio is also threatening to take another 3200 members out on strike from Tuesday.

From Friday morning Stavanger, Trondheim, Oppegaard and Toensberg were included in the strike.

If the strike is expanded Tuesday, Alta, Arendal, Steinkjer and Kristiansund will also be affected, and in addition the strike will be further expanded in Oslo.

Unio members on strike include teachers, nurses, researchers, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, and schools, kindergartens and health services are affected.
