Norway thrashed Spain 34-21 in the final on Sunday to add the women's European Championship title to their Olympic crown of only 16 weeks ago. This is Norway's third Euro title in a row.
Favourites Norway only managed a narrow lead at half-time, but took full control in the second half and out-ran and out-shot Spain to seal a resounding victory.
Norway's Linn-Kristin Riegelhuth scored six times, becoming the top scorer of the tournament with 51 goals ahead of Grit Jurack of Germany, who ended with 46.
In the bronze medal match earlier in the day, Russia beat Germany 24-21.
