Ice unsafe in
the lowlands
The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (Norges vassdrags- og energidirektorat = NVE) warns Easter tourists about travelling on ice on lakes where the water level is being regulated.
The ice is unsafe also in the lowlands from the west of Norway and all the way up to to Nordland, according to Randi Pytte Asvall at NVE.
In the mountains however, the ice is safe almost everywhere.
