1 postdoc and 9 PhD-positions at Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology
The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology (NT) is an international arena for research and education in the natural sciences, environmental science, biotechnology, chemistry, physics, materials and chemical engineering. About 325 PhD candidates are today enrolled into the eight PhD programme offered by the faculty. We now invite applicants for 9 PhD positions and 1 Post doc positions.


1 POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN LASER PHYSICS, Ref.nr. NT 65/09 A postdoctoral position is open at the Department of Physics within the project "High-intensity ultrafast solid-state laser systems ”. The project is aimed at extending the highly successful ultrashort pulse laser technology to the mid-IR region. The post doctor will be appointed for a period of 3 years. 1 PHD RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP POSITION IN ORGANIC CHEMISTRY, Ref.nr. NT 62/09 At the Department of Chemistry, there is vacant one PhD research fellowship position in Organic Chemistry for three years. The person awarded the stipend is going to work with studies of Supramolecular- and synthetic organic chemistry. 2 PHD RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS AT FACULTY OF NATURAL SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY, Ref.nr. NT 63/09 The fellowships are open to applicants in all areas of research covered by the faculty. 2-3 PHD POSITIONS WITHIN PHYSICAL METALLURGY/METAL PLASTICITY, Ref.nr. 64/09 The subjects are related to modelling of texture and microstructure induced anisotropy in aluminum alloys - experimentally input and/or the mathematical modelling itself. A strong background within at least one of the following fields is required: Continuum plastisity, crystal plasticity,mathematical modelling, TEM/SEM microscopy, computer implementation (Fortran, C, Phyton or similar).
