King Harald invites Obama

Norway's King Harald has invited US President Barack Obama to stay overnight at the Royal Palace (photo) when the President comes to Oslo to receive the Nobel Peace Price in December.

If Obama accepts the invitation, he will be installed in the King Haakon VII suite, which have been used for guests since 1907, when Danish King Frederik VIII first used it.

If Michelle Obama travels with her husband to Oslo, she will use the Queen Maud suite, Aftenposten reports.

So far, only one thing is certain: the US President will be received in audience by King Harald at the Royal Palace in the morning, prior to the Nobel ceremony at the City Hall.
