Arbitration continues on overtime

State Conciliator of Norway's offices are still the scene of tariff negotiations between the state and its public employees. The deadline went out at midnight, The and the arbitration is now on overtime.
According to NRK's source, a strike among the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO), The Confederation of Vocational Unions (YS) and the Confederation of Unions for Professionals Norway (Unio) members is becoming less likely, while Akademikerne (Academicians) still are an uncertain bet.

More than 600.000 public employees will be impacted if the arbitration breaks down, but so far only 30.000 are out on strike.

The State Conciliator is expected to present a new offer from the state. The original offer was 3,21 percent, while the employees' demand is almost 4 percent.

In addition to the public sector, the transport sector and cleaning industry are also still pending in arbitration.
