Norway's Crown Prince Haakon is visiting Burundi as goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The visit, began on 29 October, will be focusing on the UN millennium goals. In Burundi today, poverty represents one of the greatest threats to lasting peace and stability. The Crown Prince will be visiting several projects that are working to promote the peace process, and thereby lay the foundation for a stable peace in Burundi.
