Stoltenberg welcomes
Bali agreement
”I am glad we have managed to reach an agreement in Bali. The adopted roadmap
is a decisive step to start negotiations on a comprehensive reduction of global emissions”, Norway’s Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said after the UN Climate Change Conference ended today.”We would have wanted a stronger and more binding language in the Bali roadmap, but what’s most important is that we now have a basis for a global agreement in Copenhagen in 2009”, Stoltenberg said.
”Work starts now. Norway will be a driving force to secure that the Copenhagen treaty will be as ambitious and comprehensive as possible”, Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said.
