A letter to Israel embassy

in Oslo contained threats

The letter which led to the hospitalization of two postal employees, contained threats directed at the Israeli Embassy. The threats were related to the Gaza conflict, according to the Oslo police.

However, the Institute of Public Health has found no trace of infectious matters on the envelope nor the contents.

The letter will Monday be examined by the police for traces of chemicals, possibly tear gas, NRK reports.

The two employees at an Oslo post office were taken to hospital and placed in isolation ward, when they showed suspicious reactions including a rash with itching after having handled a letter addressed to the Israeli Embassy.

The two were later released after the symptoms subsided.
